Teacher Meet: Dialogic Methods in Entrepreneurial Learning (Bothnian Arc Cross-Border Entrepreneurship)
During this teacher meet we'll be having a dialogical workshop. Together, we will be discussing the topic "Finding good ways to support students to become self-directed learners” with a dialogical approach. During the workshop, we will be learning practical tools that you can use in your classroom.
Our facilitator is Heikki Ervast. Heikki is an entrepreneur, CEO for Dialogues & Design and retired Principal for the Teacher Training School, University of Lapland. He is also specialized on leadership dialogues and wicked problems in organizations, as well as training new network dialogue facilitators.
Heikki describes dialogue like this: "Dialogue is together thinking that starts with listening. Listening means facing each other and a loosening of your own attitude to make hearing possible. Listen to what the other person is saying, not what he or she means. Then you are in dialogue.”

Our next Teacher Meet will be held on the 18/11 2021 at 08.30 - 09.30 Swedish time and at 09:30 - 10:30 Finnish time. The theme is: "How-to run a digital innovation camp". It will be hosted by Eemeli Alanne and condense everything we have learnt on the topic during the past three years! You are most welcome to participate in the teacher session whether you and your students have been/are participating in the innovation camp or not.
Teacher Meets are virtual networking events organized by the Bothnian Arc -project. The aim of the project is to develop cross-border co-operation in entrepreneurship education in the Gulf of Bothnia region. In the project's activities, students’ knowledge of the region's business life will increase, and they will be given the skills to both work and set up companies across borders. In addition to teaching entrepreneurship, the idea is to get young people involved in cross-border co-operation at school, which in the long run will lead to increased job mobility in the region. This project is made possible by financial support from Interreg Nord and Region Norrbotten.
